John recently joined IV GFM after 23 years in church-based pastoral ministry. Enjoying seasons of ministering in various church contexts, he loves the blessing of now joining a community of ministry together with grad students and faculty at Stanford as well as the whole IV GFM staff family. He brings a deep desire to build Biblical communities and to encourage others to discover a deeper relationship with Jesus. He continues to live out a passion for the persecuted church serving together with Ethnos Asia Ministries whose mission is to strengthen and serve the Body of Christ in access-restricted nations in Asia. John was born and raised in Chicago, received his BA in Psychology at the University of California Irvine, and has a ThM in Pastoral Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary. John’s hobbies are most often outdoors spending time cycling, skiing/snowboarding, longboarding, rock climbing, and together with his family, enjoying the aesthetics & flavors of bougie ice cream/boba shops in San Francisco.
